Poker is the world's greatest game: fast decisions, thinking in bets, a lot of math — and you learn more about someone in three hands than in three coffees.

Brie Vermaak is hosting a room in Dubai with Founders Dubai. Texas Hold'em, No Limit. Stakes are TechGames dollars, your balance for the season, not real money. Any level welcome. First-timers get walked through the first hand, and the full rules are just below. Seats are limited and the list is curated: sign up and Brie Vermaak approves by hand. You’ll hear from them soon if you’re in, and the exact venue appears on this page. Play starts at 6:30 pm.

This event is part of the official TechGames circuit, the game circuit of the startup world: 10,000+ founders, operators and investors, 200+ game nights, 6 cities, one leaderboard per city. Your result tonight moves you on the Dubai board, and playing earns startup perks.

A word from your host

Hi all, We are excited to be the hosting the second TechPoker event at Alba on the 13th of October. See you then.
Brie Vermaak

How does the TechPoker circuit work?

  1. 1Start the season with TG$ 1,000

TechGames dollars, your score for the season. Some tables play real money on top. That stays between players.

  2. 2Play

Every circuit result moves your TG$ and your place on the Dubai board.

  3. 3Earn startup & enterprise perks

Games played, TG$ reached, where you finish the season. Each one earns a perk.

The big blind opens the hand with one line about themselves and a fun fact

These are the defaults for every TechGames cash game. If your host adds house rules, they announce them at the table.
